Laser therapy uses light energy (photons) to stimulate a series of reactions in the body that increase cell regeneration and healing. Known as photobiomodulation, the application of a concentrated infrared light beam on biological tissues increases cellular energy (ATP) for improved functionality, faster healing, better nutrient absorption and clearing of waste. Our high-powered infrared laser can penetrate as deep as seven inches into the body. The more energy your cells get, the faster they are able to repair.
The treatment is non-invasive and does not hurt. Patients will feel some warmth throughout the visit, but will not experience any pain. We create a relaxed environment, and clients often fall asleep during a session. Laser treatment also increases blood flow and relieves pain, resulting in the release of endorphins and/or hormones that contribute to feeling good.
Research has shown that laser therapy results in: – Decreased inflammation (acute and chronic) – Decreased pain – Increased blood flow – Increased range of motion – Increased cellular regeneration Other benefits are increased cellular energy and cell repair, a decrease in aging, increased gut healing and function, improved immune-system functioning, better neurotransmitter and hormone balance, along with much more.
Research shows that there are no conditions that the laser therapy can not treat. The one things that is not recommended is to shine laser light directly into the eyes. We request our patients to wear a pair of specific safety glasses to prevent any light from being shined directly into the eyes. We have seen significant results with the laser therapy from more mild conditions like sprained ankles and arthritis to more serious conditions like post-surgery scar prevention build up and bulging discs.

Most of our patients see results in as little as one visit. Most of the benefits of the laser therapy will be felt between 3 and 6 hours after the treatment is finished.
Depending on the symptoms you present with, the typical treatment plan is between 5-10 visits to decrease inflammation, decrease pain, and increase range of motion. It is highly recommended to receive at least 5 visits within the first week of treatment, and then the visits are spaced out further as the symptoms start to decrease. As you start to heal and get back to your normal routine, it is encouraged to continue with a maintenance plan where you receive laser therapy once a week to once every other week.
